Joseph Raso

Joseph Raso has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Joseph is currently working as a Cheminformatics Software Engineer at NeuroX1 Inc. since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Colorado Boulder from August 2018 to December 2020. At the university, they held multiple roles including Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant. In these positions, they gained experience in designing and writing code in C++ and Python for molecular dynamics simulations and developing a generative deep neural network.

Before their time at the university, Joseph worked at Berkeley Lab from January 2017 to July 2018 as a Research Assistant. Here, they re-engineered an electron source, performed data collection and analysis for experiments, and designed custom experimental apparatus. Joseph also worked as a SULI Intern from June 2016 to December 2016, developing code and an analytical theory for lattice-gas simulations and crystallization in binary materials.

Earlier in their career, Joseph held various positions including Shift Lead at Philz Coffee from May 2013 to August 2014, Chemistry Tutor and Algebra Tutor at City College of San Francisco from January 2013 to May 2014, Bookseller at Books Inc. from February 2012 to August 2013, and Lead Barista/General Manager at Truckee Book & Bean from May 2005 to September 2010.
