Rolando Guerra Gómez

Rolando Guerra Gómez has over 8 years of experience in the telecom engineering and research field. From 2023 to present, they have been a Senior Telecom Engineer and Researcher at Neutroon. From 2018 to 2023, they worked as a 5G/RAN Researcher at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they had hands-on experience in 5G and Beyond Projects, definition and optimization of 5G/C-RAN deployments, resource allocation of BBU pools and 5G/CUs, machine learning and artificial intelligent (ML/AI) for 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) optimization, mathematical optimization theory, and optimization of 5G Radio Units (RUs, RRHs, or RRUs) allocation. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Wireless Communication Researcher at Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana "José Antonio Echeverría" CUJAE, where they designed and implemented digital down converters for smart antenna systems in Xilinx FPGA, phased arrays with circular polarization, and space-time adaptive processing for radio frequency identification smart antenna systems.

Rolando Guerra Gómez obtained a Master's degree in Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 2018 and 2020. Previously, they obtained an Engineer in Telecommunications and Electronics from Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana "José Antonio Echeverría" between 2010 and 2015, also in Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones.
