Alpesh Surati

Alpesh Surati has a diverse work experience encompassing various roles in finance and accounting. Alpesh currently serves as the Director of Financial Reporting at Nevada Copper Corp, a position they started in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at PwC Canada, where they held the roles of Senior Manager and Experienced Manager from 2018 to 2022. At PwC Canada, their responsibilities included reviewing financial statements, preparing accounting memos, conducting risk assessments, and coaching engagement teams.

Before joining PwC Canada, Alpesh worked at PwC India as an Associate Director from 2016 to 2018. During their time at PwC India, they gained experience in areas such as accounting, payroll, tax compliance, and internal firm projects. Alpesh also served as a Manager at PwC India from 2013 to 2015.

Earlier in their career, Alpesh worked at SKP Group as a Senior Manager, overseeing financial control for start-up and smaller companies. Alpesh was responsible for leading a team in delivering outsourced accounting, payroll, tax, and secretarial compliance services. Alpesh also led internal firm projects and obtained SAS 70 Certification.

Alpesh's career journey began at PwC, where they started as an Assistant Manager in 2010 and transitioned to the role of Associate. Alpesh worked at PwC until 2013, gaining experience in areas such as audit, financial analysis, and advisory.

Before entering the professional world, Alpesh served as an Article Trainee at Sudit K Parekh & Co from 2005 to 2008, where they acquired practical skills and knowledge in the field of accounting.

Alpesh Surati earned a Master's Degree in Accounts and Costing from Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce in 2002-2008. Following that, they obtained a degree in Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 2003-2008. Currently, Alpesh is pursuing a Chartered Professional Accountant qualification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), which began in 2021.
