Sherrie Royster

Sherrie Royster serves as the Deputy Executive Director and Director of Advocacy and Strategic Initiatives at Nevada Legal Services since September 2023. Currently a member of the Board of Directors for CIVICA Career & Collegiate Academy, Sherrie previously held the position of Legal Redress Committee Chair on the Executive Committee of NAACP Las Vegas, focusing on addressing incidents of discrimination and managing litigation. As Legal Director at ACLU of Nevada from August 2019 to November 2020, Sherrie led impact litigation and advocacy efforts, overseeing the legal department and fostering relationships within the legal community. Sherrie's prior experience includes a role as Partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP and as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, where significant trial experience was gained. Sherrie began legal career as a Civil Defense Litigation Attorney with Wilkerson & Associates. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science from Alabama State University and a Doctor of Law from Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
