Louise Hardy has several years of work experience in various roles within law enforcement and emergency management. Louise began their career in the US Navy in 2006 and served in various roles until 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Patrol officer for the Summerville Police Department. Following that, they joined The Citadel Campus Police as a Police Officer for a short period in 2014. In the same year, they also started working at Isle Of Palms Police Department, where they held multiple roles, including Defensive Tactics Instructor, Law Enforcement and Crime Prevention Specialist Instructor, and Corporal. Louise provided training on various topics, managed staff duties, and oversaw department activities. In 2023, they joined the Nevada System of Higher Education as the Assistant Director of Threat Assessment and Emergency Management.

Louise Hardy began their education journey in 2009 at Trident Technical College, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice. Louise then proceeded to Troy University Dothan in 2012 and completed their Bachelor of Science degree, focusing on Homeland Security and Criminal Justice. In 2017, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice at Charleston Southern University, which they successfully completed in 2019. Currently, Louise is enrolled at Saint Leo University, where they are expected to graduate in 2023 with a Doctor of Criminal Justice degree, specializing in Criminal Justice and Education.
