Michael G. Short

Michael G. Short, P.E. has extensive experience in engineering and water services, currently serving as the Director of Water Services and Chief Engineer for Water and Waste Water at New Braunfels Utilities since February 2017. Prior roles include Director of Engineering at Urban Civil, LLC from November 2015 to February 2017, and Senior Engineer at The Schultz Group from May 2007 to November 2015. Michael also held positions as Public Works Director and City Engineer for the City of New Braunfels, TX, from May 2001 to April 2007, and as a Civil Engineer at Pentacore Engineering Inc from 1994 to 2001. Michael's career began as an Aircraft Structural Engineer for United Airlines from May 1990 to May 1994. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, obtained between 1982 and 1988.
