Lydia Prieg

Lydia Prieg currently serves as the Head of Economics at the New Economics Foundation, a position held since October 2020. Prior experience includes a PhD candidacy at the University of Cambridge from 2014 to 2019, where the thesis focused on integrating economic inequality into macroeconomic-environmental models. Lydia also worked as a Private Sector Policy Advisor at Oxfam for a brief period in 2014 and as a Financial Reform Researcher at the New Economics Foundation from 2010 to 2014. Earlier roles include analyst positions at Goldman Sachs, with experience gained from both a full-time role and a summer internship. Lydia holds a Master of Science in Political Economy from The London School of Economics and Political Science, completed in 2010, as well as a Master of Arts in Physics from the University of Oxford, conferred in 2007.
