James Reese

Prior to joining New Edge Wealth, Jim served as the Chief Financial Officer for Mid Atlantic Capital Group. In addition to Jim’s administrative responsibilities, he provided client support services in the areas of investment, tax, and estate planning for the firm’s principals at the time.

Jim co-founded Strategic Wealth Management Group in May 1993 and served as the firm’s Secretary/Treasurer. In his tenure with SWM, Jim specialized in delivering comprehensive wealth management services that included investment advisory, retirement income, tax, and estate planning.

Jim graduated from Robert Morris University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Accounting with high academic honors as a magna cum laude graduate. Jim was later inducted into the Robert Morris University Academic Hall of Fame.

Jim earned his CPA designation early in his career while working in the public accounting arena. Jim presently maintains his Series 7,63, and 65 licenses along with a general insurance license.

Jim and his family reside in both Bethel Park, PA and Palm Harbor, FL. Jim enjoys physical fitness, golf, and is an enthusiast of the western U.S. national parks with many signature hikes to his credit.
