Carolyn Barbo

Carrie Barbo is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations and grants management within the fields of marine science and public health. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at the Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life at New England Aquarium since June 2019, Carrie provides operational leadership for this innovative initiative aimed at advancing applied marine science research and conservation efforts. Prior roles include Grants Manager for JSI's DREAMS project and Proposal Development Manager at the Center for Global Health and Development, Boston University School of Public Health. With a Master of Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College, Carrie has cultivated expertise in financial management, organizational capacity development, and strategic partnerships across various global health initiatives.
