Kai Mithoefer

Kai Mithoefer is an experienced orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and knee surgeries, joint preservation, and sports medicine. Currently serving at New England Baptist Hospital since August 2005, Kai also holds the position of Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine and practices at the Boston Bone & Joint Institute. As the Founder and CEO of Mitmed, LLC, Kai has been involved in innovative medical practices since May 2015. Additional roles include serving as a team physician for the U.S. Soccer Federation and the New England Revolution, and previously holding a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Kai's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Düsseldorf and research fellowship training at the University of California, Berkeley.
