Susan Evans McClure

Susan Evans McClure is an experienced arts and education professional currently serving as the Executive Director of the Vermont Arts Council and a Board Member of the New England Foundation for the Arts. With a rich background in leadership roles, Susan held positions such as Executive Director at both the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum and VSA Vermont, Inc. Additionally, Susan has a significant tenure at the Smithsonian Institution, where responsibilities included Director of Programs and Audience Development, focusing on engaging audiences with American history. An advocate for the arts and community development, Susan has also contributed as a Trustee for the Carpenter Carse Library and as a Board of Directors member for the Addison County Economic Development Corporation. Susan's educational credentials include a Master of Education in Arts in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from McGill University.
