Jo Saleeba has a significant amount of experience in sustainability and responsible investment. Jo currently holds the position of Head of Sustainability at New Forests and Senior Advisor Sustainable Investment at FTSE Russell, where they also previously served as the Head of Sustainable Investment Australia and New Zealand. Before that, Jo worked as a Strategic Advisor - ESG & Impact at Kings Gate Capital Partners and as the Director - ESG and Sustainability at Thrive Advisory Services. Jo also served as a member of the Private Equity Advisory Committee at Principles for Responsible Investment. Prior to these roles, Jo held various positions such as Responsible Investment Manager at HESTA, Chief Executive Officer at Investor Group on Climate Change, Group Manager, Sustainability at Transurban, and Managing Director at Thrive Sustainability Services. Jo began their career as an Environment Manager at Telstra.
Jo Saleeba's education history includes multiple academic experiences. Jo attended the Responsible Investment Academy, where they focused on responsible investment. After that, Jo pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree at the University of Melbourne, specializing in Economics. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to complete a Masters in Environmental Science, focusing on Environmental Management at Monash University. Continuing their educational journey, Jo enrolled in the Private Markets Investments Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from 2020 to 2021. In 2022, they further enhanced their skills by attending the Cambridge Judge Business School for a program on Strategic Thinking for the CXO.
