Komi Hassan

Komi Hassan is an accomplished professional in the energy and environmental sectors, currently serving as Managing Director at New Fortress Energy since December 2021, after holding the title of Vice President - Permitting. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Program Manager at EXP from July 2019 to November 2021, and Director of Regulatory Affairs at NextDecade, LLC from November 2016 to June 2019. Komi also worked as Director of HSSE at Magnolia LNG, where key responsibilities included achieving FERC approval and securing necessary permits for facility operations. Earlier career highlights include positions as Senior Environmental Project Manager at exp Energy Services, Senior Consultant at Ecology and Environment, and Project Environmental Engineer at The Bioengineering Group. Komi holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Master’s degree in Marine and Environmental Biology from Nicholls State University.
