Khudusela Pitje is the founder and CEO of New GX with experience getting major acquisitions and managing global teams. His background in investment management, auditing and account management inform his strategic comprehensive approach.

Khudu considers himself a ‘forever student,’ eager to both build on his academic foundations in accounting and stay in tune with the latest proven investment principles. Born into a family of entrepreneurs and guided by his late father HM Pitje from an early age, Khudu started his entrepreneurship journey at the age of Seventeen with a hair salon in Grahamstown whilst still in high school. After completing his Matric with a B aggregate but unable to secure a bursary, he started working for Lindsay Saker in 1994 whilst studying part time for his B.Compt. He then worked for McDonalds head office and managed to complete his CTA the same year.

He left PwC as a qualified chartered accountant and an audit manager to join JPMorgan Investment bank in South Africa and London focusing on telecoms, energy and the public sector.

Khudu was part of the team that enabled the expansion of the AlanDick Group, a provider of network optimisation tools and In-building Solutions in the telecommunication sector, into the South African market in 2005. Khudu also successfully negotiated the acquisition of a minority equity interest by Coal of Africa Limited in an early stage mining project. He is one of the founding partners at DFA. He is a strategic thinker involved in a number of successful start up initiatives and strategic acquisitions at CIVH and New GX. Khudu sits on a number of boards, both corporate and not-for-profit, linked to New GX group of companies.
