Head Of School at New Hope Academy

Dr. Tonja Williams is currently working as the Head of School at New Hope Academy starting from July 2022. Prior to their current position, they served as the Executive Principal at Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools until July 2022.

Dr. Tonja Williams has a diverse education history. Dr. Tonja attended Mississippi State University and studied Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Later on, they pursued a degree in Educational Administration and Supervision at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), earning an Education Specialist degree. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Mississippi State University. Dr. Williams furthered their education at Trevecca Nazarene University, where they completed a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree with a focus on Leadership and Professional Practice.
