Samir Popal

Samir Popal is currently the Executive Director at New Horizons in Autism Inc, a position they have held since November of 2017. Prior to this, Samir served as the Senior Accountant at Community Access Unlimited from January 2012 to November 2017. In this role, they oversaw the Social Security Rep Payee Program and Entitlements. From May 2009 to January 2012, Samir was the Senior Service Specialist at Kean University. In this role, they assisted students, staff and faculty with identifying volunteer, community service and service learning opportunities that fostered leadership and community involvement. Samir also helped provide quality educational programs and activities that focused on service and encouraged civic responsibility and leadership development. Prior to their work at Kean University, Samir was the Treasurer at Theirpanic Law Enforcement Association of Union County. Samir has also interned as a Tax Counselor at Newark Now from September 2011 to April 2012. From April 2005 to January 2010, Samir served as the Inventory Manager at Code One Inc.

Samir Popal has a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) from Kean University in the field of public administration. Samir also has a B.S. in accounting and business/management from Kean University, with a minor in management. Additionally, Samir Popal has a diploma in general studies from Elizabeth High School.
