Shane Fahey

Shane Fahey has a extensive work experience in the insurance and banking industry. Shane started their career at New Ireland Assurance in 1999 as an Actuarial Trainee and became a Valuation Actuary from 2004 to 2008. Shane then moved to Life Trust Insurance as an Actuary from 2008 to 2009. Shane joined Bank of Ireland in 2009 as a Senior Actuary before returning to New Ireland Assurance in 2010, where they held the positions of Head of Capital Management from 2010 to 2015, Chief Actuary from 2016 to 2023, and currently serves as Chief Risk Officer.

Shane Fahey has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin, which they obtained in 1999. Shane then pursued further education at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland in 2004.
