Sari Alburtus

Sari Alburtus serves as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist at the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) since June 2021. With extensive experience in education, Sari has been a member of the Howell Township Board of Education since September 1989, focusing on English Language Arts Literacy with a specialization in Social Emotional Learning and Character Development. Previously, Sari taught 6th grade Language Arts Literacy and Social Studies at Howell Township BOE/Memorial Middle School from September 2006 to February 2022. Sari holds a bachelor's degree from Rider University (1988) and is currently pursuing a certificate in Social Emotional Learning and Character Development at Rutgers University.
