Alexander Pacheco

Associate CIO - Advanced Research Computing at New Jersey Institute of Technology

Alexander Pacheco has over 20 years of experience in the field of research computing. Alexander currently holds the position of Associate CIO - Advanced Research Computing at New Jersey Institute of Technology, where they started in August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Lehigh University as the Manager of Research Computing from September 2014 to July 2022. Before that, they served as an HPC User Services Consultant at Louisiana State University from August 2010 to September 2014. Alexander also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Indiana University Bloomington from October 2006 to August 2010, conducting investigations on electronic transport properties and theoretical reactions. Alexander started their career as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida from August 1999 to August 2006.

Alexander Pacheco completed their education history with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Florida from 1999 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University from 1997 to 1999. Their undergraduate degree, a B.Sc. in Chemistry, was earned from St. Xavier's College from 1994 to 1997.
