Kate Matthews-Bray

Director, Alumni Engagement at New Jersey Institute of Technology

Kate Matthews-Bray has a diverse work experience that spans various roles in alumni engagement and philanthropy. Starting in 2015, they worked as a Program Coordinator at Rowan University where they designed and implemented STEM education research programs. Kate then moved on to Columbia University in 2017, where they served as a Program Supervisor for the MD-PhD Program, collaborating with directors and faculty members to plan and execute strategic objectives. In 2021, they joined William Paterson University of New Jersey as a Senior Associate Director of Alumni Relations, exceeding revenue goals and leading communication efforts for fundraising campaigns. Most recently, they were appointed as the Director of Alumni Engagement at New Jersey Institute of Technology, providing leadership, management, and strategic guidance to the Alumni Engagement team.

Kate Matthews-Bray earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Exercise Science from Rowan University. Kate went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration/Educational Leadership from the same institution. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Leadership at William Paterson University of New Jersey, expected to be completed in 2026.
