Alonzo S. Blalock is an experienced arts education manager and leader in community engagement, currently serving as the Manager of In-School Programs at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center since May 2022. With a background in directing creative initiatives as the Executive Vice President of Newark Pride, Inc. and co-hosting Queered Millennial, a multimedia platform for queer people of color, Alonzo has demonstrated a commitment to social issues and cultural representation. Previous roles include President/CEO of ASEBLA Productions, LLC, where focus on entertainment production career development was emphasized, and Brand Ambassador for Joe's Crab Shack, enhancing sales through strategic campaigns. Alonzo’s early experiences include an internship at Entertainment Tonight and a student assistant position at Grambling State University, where foundational skills in communication and administration were developed. Alonzo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Grambling State University.
