Paul Kochis

Paul Kochis has an extensive law enforcement career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Lieutenant with the New Jersey State Police since October 2003, Paul has held various leadership roles, including Assistant Bureau Chief in the Investigations and Operations Bureau, Unit Head/Instructor at the New Jersey State Police Academy, and Officer with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force. Prior experience includes detective roles focusing on homicide investigations and gang activities, as well as patrol duties. Before joining the New Jersey State Police, Paul served as a Federal Air Marshal and as a Police Officer with the NYPD. Additionally, Paul has a military background with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 42nd Infantry Division. Paul holds a Master’s degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Caldwell University.
