Marina I Piña is a seasoned communications and marketing professional with extensive experience in health equity and advocacy. As the Director of Communications & Marketing for the New Mexico Health Care Authority since May 2022, Marina enhanced media relations and directed significant public health campaigns. Previously, as the Health Equity Program Manager and Communications Coordinator for Health and Human Services of Rio Arriba County, Marina established an advisory board and fortified internal communications, garnering statewide and national media attention. Marina also served as Communications Coordinator and Community Organizer at Somos Un Pueblo Unido, where successful campaigns for voter outreach and worker rights were implemented. Marina began a career in media as a Television News Reporter at Eastern New Mexico University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a focus on Public Relations from the same institution.
