James Salazar

James Salazar is an accomplished soccer professional with extensive experience in operations and coaching. Currently serving as the Director of Soccer Operations at New Mexico United since January 2020, James has also held various roles within the organization, including Assistant Director of Operations and Kit Man/Equipment Manager. Prior experience includes directing the Youth Academy and coaching at Rio Rapids Soccer Club from February 2018 to December 2021. James also contributed as an Assistant Coach at Eastern New Mexico University from February 2016 to January 2018 and as the Director of Player Development at NM Rush Soccer Club between August 2011 and August 2015. Additional experience includes coaching at the International Indoor Soccer Arena and interning at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. James holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University and is a graduate of Sandia High School.
