Jessica Nezat

Jessica Nezat, M.S. has a diverse work experience. Jessica is currently working as Director of Analytics at the New Orleans Police Department, where they have been employed since 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Crime Analyst at the same department starting in 2021. Before joining the police department, Jessica served as a Home School Coordinator & Teacher at Edison Chouest Offshore, LLC from 2014 to 2021. Jessica also worked as an English Teacher at Lafourche Parish School Board from 2012 to 2014. Jessica has experience as an Independent Research Consultant and Data Analyst/Statistician when they were self-employed from 2011 to 2012. Lastly, they worked at the University of Minnesota from 2009 to 2011 as a Manager and Educational Assessment Consultant/Program/Project Specialist, where they conducted strategic planning, financial analysis, and data analysis, among other responsibilities.

Jessica Nezat, M.S. has a diverse educational background. Jessica obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Nicholls State University in the years 2005 to 2008. Following that, they pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Psychology from Capella University, completing it in the years 2010 to 2011. In 2012 to 2013, they attended Nicholls State University again for Alternative Certification in Secondary Education and Teaching.

Furthering their education, Jessica Nezat enrolled in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2015 to 2016, where they obtained a certification in Data Science. In addition to their academic achievements, they also hold two additional certifications. In July 2014, they obtained a Teaching Certification from the Louisiana Department of Education. More recently, in July 2022, they obtained the Law Enforcement Analyst - Foundational (L.E.A.F.) certification from the International Association of Crime Analysts.
