Kevin Zelnio

Kevin Zelnio has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Kevin is currently working as the Head Brewer at New Realm Brewing since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at TRU Colors as a Brewer from October 2021 to September 2022. From September 2016 to October 2021, Kevin served as the Director of Brewing Operations at Wrightsville Beach Brewery. Kevin also worked as a Lead Brewer at JDUBS BREWING COMPANY, LLC from January 2016 to September 2016. Before pursuing a career in brewing, Kevin was the Owner/Head Brewer at Bryggeri Fängelset from July 2012 to December 2015. Kevin also worked as a Freelance Science Writer and Consultant from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, they held research positions at various institutions including the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment, Penn State University, and the University of California, Davis.

Kevin Zelnio's education history begins in 1999 when they attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, where they obtained a Diploma in Audio Engineering in the year 2000. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Davis from 2002 to 2004. Kevin then continued their studies at Penn State University, earning a Master of Science in Biology, General, from 2004 to 2008.
