Mark Shimizu

Executive Vice President, Global Distribution at New Regency Productions

Mark Shimizu has extensive work experience in the entertainment industry, specifically in global distribution and financial analysis.

Mark began their career at CSC Consulting as an Associate Consultant from 1999 to 2000.

Mark then worked at Nissan as a Financial Analyst from 2005 to 2006, where they performed financial analysis on sales and marketing programs.

Mark joined Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment in 2006 as a Senior Manager, Trade Marketing. Mark was responsible for profit delivery, strategic positioning, and marketing execution for the Live Action DVD and Blu-Ray Catalog.

In 2008, they joined Paramount Pictures as a Director of FP&A, Worldwide TV. Mark provided financial deal analysis support and played a role in expanding the licensing business into new technologies.

Mark later served as the Executive Director of FP&A, Worldwide TV & Digital Distribution at Paramount Pictures from 2010 to 2012.

From 2012 to 2015, Mark held the position of Vice President, FP&A, Home Media Distribution where they spearheaded deal analysis and forecasting for WWTV Distribution.

Since 2015, they have been working at New Regency Productions, starting as a Vice President, International Distribution and progressing to Senior Vice President, International Distribution in 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Vice President, Global Distribution. In this role, they develop and executes strategic plans for post-theatrical distribution, manages international sales and working relationships with licensing partners.

Mark Shimizu completed their education in a chronological order. From 1995 to 1999, they attended the University of Notre Dame, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. Their field of study at Notre Dame included Information Systems and Japanese. Later, from 2003 to 2005, Mark pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the USC Marshall School of Business. The specific field of study for their MBA program is not mentioned.
