Kelsey L. Hayes

Kelsey L. Hayes currently serves as Chief Subeditor at New Scientist, overseeing subediting staff to ensure high standards of style and accuracy for both print and online content. Prior to this role, Kelsey held various editorial positions at POLITICO Europe, including Assistant Technology Editor and Living Cities Editor, where responsibilities included editing technology and urban policy news. Kelsey began a career in journalism with roles at POLITICO and internships at The Kansas City Star and The Columbus Dispatch, gradually progressing through editorial responsibilities and leadership positions. Kelsey holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Kent and dual Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Political Science from The University of Kansas.
