Sean Stucker

Sean Stucker is an experienced architectural historian and general manager with a strong background in historic preservation and real estate renovation. Currently serving at New South Associates, Inc. since March 2021, Sean specializes in cultural resource management services, focusing on architectural history and historic preservation planning. As co-owner and general manager of Modest Homes since December 2003, Sean manages a portfolio of historic rental properties in Columbia, SC. Previous positions include project executive at Dillon Construction Services, director of facilities at Historic Columbia Foundation, project manager at Trinity Design/Build, and assistant director at Preservation Durham. Sean's early career involved work as a historic preservation specialist with the US Army and as a carpenter on historic renovations. Educational credentials include a Master's in Historic Preservation from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Colorado Boulder.
