Operations and Finance Associate at New Venture Fund

Malini Ray has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. In 2018, they served as the President and Co-Founder of Diversity Peer Educators, a student-run group that focused on teaching topics related to diversity and inclusion. During their time there, they facilitated workshops on allyship, student diversity, international student relations, inclusive language, and cultural appropriation.

In 2018, Malini also worked as a Fellow at NextGen America. This role involved supporting political initiatives and campaigns.

From 2019 to 2020, they held leadership positions within the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity as the Chapter President and Vice President of Programming, where they helped coordinate and oversee various fraternity activities and events.

Moreover, from 2017 to 2020, Malini served as a Peer Educator at Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence. In this role, they received training on gender-based violence and healthy sexuality, and they conducted presentations on topics such as sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, and sexual harassment to educate students.

In 2020, Malini joined NextGen America as an Organizer, working on Lehigh University's campus. Malini'sresponsibilities included managing two student fellows to create voter registration and education initiatives, as well as organizing virtual voter education events and rallies for Lehigh Valley voters amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Malini also hosted weekly educational virtual town halls on progressive topics.

Most recently, Malini joined the New Venture Fund as an Operations and Finance Associate in 2021, where they are responsible for supporting operations and finance-related tasks.

Malini Ray attended Lehigh University from 2016 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs, with a focus on Political Science.
