Angel Zheng

Deputy Director of Organizational Learning Improvement at New Visions for Public Schools

Angel Zheng has a diverse work experience starting in 2008 as a Summer Intern at All Stars Project, Inc. In 2010, Angel worked as a Research Contributor at Generations United and a Research Associate at Pennsylvania State University, College of Education. Angel later became a Research Assistant at Education Law Center in 2010 and a Research Assistant/Writer at World Class Education News in 2011.

In 2012, Angel served as a Graduate Scholar at New York State Assembly and as a Fulbright ETA Scholar at University of Saint Joseph through the Fulbright Commission. Angel then joined New Visions for Public Schools, Inc. in 2013, starting as a Policy Coordinator and eventually progressing to the roles of Policy Analyst, Senior Policy Analyst, and currently, Deputy Director of Organizational Learning & Improvement.

Angel Zheng has a solid education background in the field of education theory and policy. They obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree from Penn State University in 2011, specializing in Education Theory & Policy. Prior to that, Angel earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the same university in 2010. Their undergraduate focus was on Education & Public Policy. In addition to their academic degrees, Angel also holds a certification in Strategic Fundraising for Nonprofit Leaders, which was obtained in June 2023 from Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education.
