Maureen M. O'Brien is the EVP for Institutional Advancement at New World Symphony. Maureen previously served as the Director of Institutional Advancement at Musical Instrument Museum and as a Faculty Associate at ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation.

O'Brien has a long history of working in the nonprofit sector and has provided strategic leadership for a variety of fundraising initiatives. Maureen is an expert in soliciting major donors and has a track record of successfully representing their organizations in the community.

Maureen M. O'Brien has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Music and French, and a certificate in Western European Studies. Maureen also has a Flute degree from the Conservatoire Regional de Montpellier, and a degree in French and Music from Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier III. Maureen has a Mini MBA for Nonprofit Organizations from the University of St. Thomas, and is certified as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) from CFRE International.
