Sean Sullivan

Sean Sullivan joined CJA as general counsel in 2018. Sean advises CJA on all legal concerns and consults with the executive team on strategic and operational initiatives. Previously, Sean was Vice President for Legal and Compliance at the United Way of New York City (UWNYC) where he led the organization’s legal and compliance department. Before UWNYC, Sean represented nonprofit organizations in private practice and was a staff attorney at the Fair Housing Justice Center where he combated housing discrimination in New York City. Sean has presented on nonprofit governance at various conferences and published on employment discrimination liability in the New York Law Journal.
