Lupe Aguirre

Lupe Aguirre is a legal professional with extensive experience in immigrant rights and civil liberties. Currently serving as Senior Staff Attorney at the New York Civil Liberties Union since November 2020, Lupe previously held the position of Fellow at the Center for Constitutional Rights from September 2018 to November 2020. Lupe's career includes roles as Staff Attorney and Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow at the Empire Justice Center, where work focused on immigrant justice from September 2016 to August 2018, and as Legal Extern at the National Immigration Law Center. Additional internships were completed at various organizations, including the ACLU of Southern California and the Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project. Lupe obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law in 2016, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Development Economics and International Development from UCLA.
