Meagan Belfinger

Meagan Belfinger serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Audit Executive of New York Community Bancorp, Inc., having joined Flagstar Bancorp in 2014 as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and was appointed Chief Audit Executive in 2019. Meagan has a strong background in finance, risk, and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining Flagstar, Meagan worked for the US Department of the Treasury, including the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Meagan is a certified National Bank Examiner and Federal Thrift Regulator. She holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Michigan State University.

Meagan serves on the Board of Detroit Horse Power, including chair of the finance committee, and the Michigan State University Executive MBA Alumni Board.

In 2021 she was recognized as a Corp! Magazine Most Valuable Millennial, and Crain’s Detroit Business 40 Under 40.
