Vice President, Development and Communications at The New York Foundling

Kirkley Strand has been working in the non-profit sector for over 15 years. Kirkley started their career as a teacher in the New York City Department of Education. After a few years in the classroom, they transitioned to working in development and fundraising. Kirkley has held positions at University Settlement Society of New York, Read Ahead, and Storefront Academy. Currently, Kirkley is the Vice President of Development and Communications at The New York Foundling. In this role, they oversee all fundraising and communications efforts for the organization. Throughout their career, Kirkley has been passionate about working with underserved populations and ensuring that everyone has access to quality education and social services.

Kirkley Strand received a BA in Politics from Mount Holyoke College and an MS in Education from Mercy College.

Their manager is Bill Baccaglini, President & CEO. They are on a team with Eric Nicklas - Vice President, Quality, Performance, and Compliance, Luisa Sanchez - Chief of Staff, Evidence Based Community of Programs, and Liz Sunners - Vice President, Service Delivery, Developmental Disabilities.
