Javier Cucarella

Javier Cucarella has diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Javier is currently working as the Assistant Director of Operations at the New York Hilton Midtown, starting in October 2022. Previously, they held the position of Assistant Front Desk Manager at the Riu Plaza New York Times Square from October 2021 to October 2022, and Front Office Supervisor from September 2016 to October 2021.

Before that, Javier worked as the Front Office Manager at Dylan Hotel under Eurostars Hotels in 2015. In this role, they were responsible for managing the Front Desk team, coordinating shifts, and handling duties related to customer service, reservations, and payments. Javier also supervised receptionists' training, schedules, and payroll, ensuring excellent communication and service for guest special requests and VIP customers.

Prior to their time at Eurostars Hotels, Javier worked at The Rathbone Hotel from October 2010 to December 2014. Javier held the positions of Duty Manager - Reservationist, where they oversaw the reservations department and assisted in revenue management and corporate sales, and Reception Supervisor, where they supervised and coordinated reception operations during shifts, including recruitment and training of front office staff.

Javier's earlier experience includes roles at Eurostars Hotels from 2000 to 2010. Javier served as the Assistant General Manager and Reception Manager at Eurostars Mediterránea Plaza from 2008 to 2010 and 2006 to 2008, respectively. In these positions, they were responsible for various front office duties, including training receptionists, managing bookings, revenue, and price adjustments, and supervising cashiering activities. Javier also worked as a Receptionist at Eurostars Mediterránea Plaza from 2000 to 2006, where they provided excellent customer service and handled check-ins, check-outs, room bills, and payments.

Javier's career in the hospitality industry began as a Receptionist at HOTEL CASTILLA ALICANTE from April 1998 to September 2000.

Javier Cucarella obtained their Bachelor's degree in Tourism from Universitat d'Alacant, where they studied Hospitality Administration/Management from 2006 to 2010. In November 2020, they also acquired a certification in Effective Problem-Solving and Decision-Making from Coursera.
