Shane Mitchell

Shane Mitchell is a seasoned political professional currently serving as the Deputy Political Director and NJ Political Coordinator for the Hotel and Gaming Trades Council, AFL-CIO since December 2021. Prior to this role, Shane held various positions within the New Jersey Senate, including Chief of Staff and Legislative Director, supporting Senator Loretta Weinberg. Shane's experience also encompasses field organizing roles for multiple political campaigns, such as Goldsmith and DeRienzo for State Assembly, Progress for Perth Amboy, and Roy Cho for Congress. In addition to a robust political background, Shane has experience in radio, having worked at WPRB 103.3 FM and WFMU, as well as internships at Cumulus Media. Shane holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Johns Hopkins University and an AB in History from Princeton University.
