Gary Heard

Gary Heard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and coaching roles. Currently serving as a Coach for New York Road Runners since November 2021, Gary previously held the position of Chief of Staff to the Chairman at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey for a brief tenure in 2017. Notably, Gary spent over three decades at Chubb, rising to the role of Vice President, where responsibilities included leading profitable underwriting units in New York City. Additionally, Gary served as Managing Director at Travelers Entertainment from 2011 to 2014. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Political Science from New York University, training in Environmental Risk Management from Texas State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Upsala College.
