Tyler Muzio

Communications Director at New York State Senate

Tyler Muzio has a diverse work experience, starting in 2014 as an Usher at Regal Entertainment Group. In 2015, they became a Student Assistant at Stony Brook University's Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity, where they worked until 2018. During this time, they also interned at the U.S. House of Representatives and the United States Senate.

In 2016, Tyler worked as a Field Organizer for Calone for Congress. The following year, they became a Legislative Intern for Congressman Thomas R. Suozzi (NY-03) and a Regional Intern for U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer.

Continuing their political career, Tyler served as a Campaign Manager for Allen Foley for NYS Assembly in 2018. In the same year, they also worked briefly as a Field Director for DuWayne Gregory for Congress.

In 2019, Tyler took on multiple roles. Tyler served as an Elections Clerk at Nassau County Board of Elections and as a Campaign Manager for Laura Burns for Nassau County Legislature, District 6. Currently, since June 2022, they are working as the Communications Director at the New York State Senate. Additionally, they previously held the position of Constituent Liaison at the same company from December 2019 to July 2022.

Tyler Muzio completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Public Policy at Stony Brook University, which they attended until 2019. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2018, they studied Political Science and Government at Stony Brook University, but did not obtain a degree in that field.
