Director Of Communications at New York State Senate

Xavier San Miguel has a diverse work experience in the public sector. Xavier started their career as a Policy Intern at the Office of the Bronx Borough President in 2007. Later that year, they also worked as a Finance Intern at Stringer 2010. In 2007, they joined the New York City Council as a Community Liaison and served until 2009. In 2011, Xavier joined the New York State Senate as a District Representative and transitioned into the role of Director of Constituent Services in February 2012. Xavier then became the Director of Communications in May 2012, a position they still hold.

Xavier San Miguel completed their education with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, part of Cornell University, from the year 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, attending from 2002 to 2006. Xavier completed their high school education at Regis High School from 1998 to 2002.
