Richard Ha

Director, External Programs at New York Stem Cell Foundation

Richard Ha is currently the Director of External Programs at the New York Stem Cell Foundation. Prior to this, they served as an intern at Columbia Business School, International Treatment Preparedness Coalition, and Columbia University Department of Psychiatry and New York State Psychiatric Institute. Richard also worked as a bibliography assistant at Columbia University Libraries.

Richard Ha has always been interested in helping others and giving back to their community. As a student affairs intern, they arranged pertinent information for newly admitted students’ Orientation and organized the weekly prospective students to correspond with Admissions office. Richard also proofread and edited all material regarding the graduating class and their events. As a program intern, they assisted in the style and formatting of the Advocacy for Community Treatment (ACT) Toolkit, reviewed submitted grant reports and prepared presentations for renewal of said grants, and analyzed data of multiple international surveys in regards to HIV care and treatment literacy. Lastly, as a bibliography assistant, they helped with the organization and management of Columbia University Libraries’ collections.

Richard Ha’s experience in various fields has given him the skillset to be successful in their current position as the Director of External Programs at the New York Stem Cell Foundation. In this role, they are responsible for developing and executing strategies to build relationships with key external stakeholders, including patients, patient advocacy groups, clinicians, and research institutions. Richard also manages all aspects of Foundation-sponsored events, from concept to execution. Through their hard work and dedication, Richard Ha has made a lasting impact on the Foundation and its programs.

Richard Ha received a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience & Behavior and East Asian Languages & Cultures from Columbia University. Richard then went on to receive a Master of Public Administration - MPA in Nonprofit Management from Baruch College.

Their manager is Susan L. Solomon, CEO & Founder. They work with Lisa Voltolina - Associate Director, Clinical Research & Regulatory Compliance, Jean Hart - Executive Assistant to the CEO, and Rhoda Mondeh - Director, GMP Manufacturing.
