Peter Benson

Peter Benson currently serves as the Acting General Manager of Cloud and Operations at NZ Post, supporting the Data and Technology team during a parental leave. Additionally, Peter is the CEO of Cyber-Psych.org, where emphasis is placed on addressing the human aspects of cybersecurity, including ethics and education. Previous roles include Director of Cyber Security at KPMG New Zealand, Senior Security Architect at Trend Micro, and several leadership positions at Genesis, where initiatives in data protection and AI governance were established. Peter has also operated their own businesses, including SS Customs Ltd and CodeScan Ltd, and holds a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from The University of Auckland.
