Darren Schwass

Darren Schwass is an experienced professional who has been with New Zealand's Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) since January 1994. Throughout their tenure, Darren has held various managerial roles such as Manager Closure Readiness, Manager Casting and Logistics, and Manager Carbon & Business Improvement. Darren has also served as a Maintenance Superintendent, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and Acting Engineering Manager. Additionally, Darren has experience in production and engineering roles, including Green Carbon Supt, Reduction Line Supt, and Ingot Supt. Outside of NZAS, Darren is the Director of Turner Heights Townhouses and a School Board Member at Salford School. Darren holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Auckland.
