Christine Bennett

Christine Bennett, SHRM-CP, pHCLE, NBCT, currently serves as the Executive Director of Human Resources for Newark Central School District, a position held since July 2023. From December 2013 to July 2023, Christine worked at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES in various roles, including Coordinator of Employee Engagement, Recruiter for Human Resources, Online English Instructor for grades 7-12, and Human Resources Manager. Prior experience includes serving as an English Teacher, Mentor, and Teacher Union Leader at Palmyra-Macedon Central School District from October 2002 to March 2018, and as Director of Education at Sylvan Learning from February 2001 to October 2002. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Literacy Education from the University at Albany, SUNY, and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Cedarville University. Additional education was completed at the University of Rochester - Warner School of Education.
