Karen Lewis is an accomplished academic and author in the field of architecture, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Architecture at The Ohio State University since September 2009. Lewis authored "Graphic Design for Architects: A Manual for Visual Communication," published by Routledge in 2014. Since January 2017, Lewis has also held the position of Assistant Professor of Architecture at The Newberry and serves as a Visiting Scholar focusing on "The Atlas of Mobile Landscapes: Expanding the Territory of the Oregon Trail." Prior academic roles include Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Kentucky (August 2004 - May 2009) and Teaching Fellow at Harvard University (September 2003 - May 2004). Early career experience includes roles as an Information Architect at Nicholson NY and Museum Exhibition Designer at The Bruce Museum, among others. Educational credentials include a Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design (2000 - 2004) and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Wellesley College (1993 - 1997).
