Terra Tolley, Ph.D has a varied and extensive work experience. Starting in 1998, they were an Advisory Board Member at the Volunteer Center of the Redwoods. In 2005, they were a Research Coordinator at Impact Assessment. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Business Management at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. During the same time period, they were also an Alternative Break Coordinator & Instructor at George Mason University. From 2010 to 2016, they were the Government Relations Director at OZ Systems. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Director International Program at the Newborn Foundation, spearheading pediatric pneumonia awareness campaigns in Nigeria, Ethiopia and India. Finally, from 2020 to 2021, they were a Facilitator at the Center for Cognitive Diversity. Currently, they are a Senior Program Manager at PerkinElmer, Inc., where they are a conflict and change management expert, medical and cultural anthropologist, and manager of HRSA funded cooperative agreements for innovations in newborn screening interoperability.
Terra Tolley, Ph.D. began their educational journey in 1996 when they attended Arcata High School. Terra then went on to receive a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Lewis & Clark College in 2004. In 2007, they earned their MS in Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University and completed their PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from the same university in 2015.
