Cassie Sklarz, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in education, communication, caregiving, and freelance work. From 2017 to the present, they have been the Director of Communications for the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, where they previously served as a Communication Strategist from 2017 to 2021. Prior to this, Cassie worked at Fordham University, holding positions such as Senior Associate Director and Associate Director/Manager of Special Programs and Assessment. Cassie also worked as an Assistant Director for Leadership Development and Training and a First Year Formation Instructor at Fordham University. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Education (M.S.Ed.) in Counselor Education from SUNY Oneonta in 2005. In 2004, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mass Communications, also from SUNY Oneonta. Cassie completed their high school education at Newburgh Free Academy between 1997 and 2000.

In terms of additional certifications, in September 2015, Cassie Sklarz obtained a certification in Personal Leadership (Online) from The Institute for Personal Leadership.
