Thomas Darby has worked in the financial industry for the past 10 years, holding various roles in prominent companies. Thomas started their career at ENGIE as a Pricing Analyst in Portfolio Management from December 2011 to September 2014. Thomas then joined Virgin Money, where they served as an Assistant Pricing, Planning, and Analytics Manager in Retail Deposits from September 2014 to October 2016. Thomas was subsequently promoted to a Pricing Manager in Retail and SME Deposits, where they worked until December 2018. In January 2019, Thomas took on the role of ALM Product Manager at Virgin Money's Group Treasury until June 2019. Thomas then moved to NatWest Group, where they worked as a Senior Pricing Manager for Savings and Mortgages from July 2019 to June 2021. Currently, Thomas is the Head of Savings Products at Newcastle Building Society, a position they have held since June 2021.
Thomas Darby attended Monkseaton High School from 2003 to 2008. Following their high school education, they enrolled at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle in 2008 and completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics in 2011. Additionally, in 2006-2007, they took a course on "DB123: Personal Finance in Context" at The Open University.
