Kirsty Smith

Kirsty Smith is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and reporting. Currently serving as the Finance Manager at Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group since September 2017, Kirsty has held multiple leadership roles including Financial Reporting & Analysis Leader and acting Financial Controller. Previously, Kirsty worked at Whitehaven Coal for eight years, managing a shared services team and overseeing tax compliance for numerous legal entities. Before that, Kirsty gained valuable experience at KPMG, initially as a graduate in the tax group and advancing to Tax Manager, alongside roles at Elko Energy Inc and Hilton as Group Accountant and Project Accountant, respectively. Kirsty holds a Diploma as a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Sydney.
